Building Materials

The object of writing this book on Materials of Construction has been to present this subject to the students in most systematic manner and in simple understandable language. The sound knowledge of this subject is necessary for any engineer. Without this an engineer cannot predict the properties and behaviour of the materials, which he is going to use. All the materials existing in the universe are useful in one field or the other. It is not possible to deal all the materials in one volume. The materials in most common use in engineering works have only been discussed in treatise.
